Privacy Policy
Last updated: 23 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Euler Educators (“we”, “us”, “our”), based in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria, collects, uses, and safeguards your personal data when you visit our website, contact us, or use the student portal. We are committed to handling your data responsibly and in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA/NDPR) and, where applicable, the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Information we collect
- Enquiries. When you use our contact form we collect your name, email address, organization (optional), and the content of your message.
- Student accounts. If you create a student account we collect your email address and name, and — if you sign in with Google — your Google profile name and avatar. We link your account to your examination results (e.g. via your email or a candidate code) to display your scores, points, and leaderboard position.
- Usage analytics. We operate our own privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics. We record pages viewed, time on page, approximate country, and device type. Visitors are counted using a daily-rotating, one-way hash — we do not store cookies, advertising identifiers, or your IP address for analytics.
- Technical data. Standard server logs (such as request times and error reports) are processed by our hosting provider to keep the service secure and reliable.
2. How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiries and provide the services you request.
- To create and operate your student account, and to display your results and progress.
- To understand how the site is used and to improve its content and performance.
- To maintain the security, integrity, and availability of our services.
Our lawful bases for processing are your consent (which you may withdraw at any time), the performance of a contract (operating your account), and our legitimate interests in running and improving the service.
3. Cookies
We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. The only cookie we set is a strictly necessary session cookie used to keep you signed in when you log into a student or administrator account. Our analytics do not use cookies at all.
4. Service providers
We share data only with the trusted processors that power our service:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage (privacy).
- Vercel — website hosting and delivery (privacy).
- Google — optional “Sign in with Google” authentication (privacy).
We never sell your personal data.
5. International transfers
Some of our providers process data outside Nigeria. Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on providers that offer appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) to protect it.
6. Data retention
We keep enquiry messages and account data for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal or operational requirements, after which it is deleted or anonymized. Analytics records are retained in aggregate and contain no personal identifiers.
7. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@eulereducators.org. You may also lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).
8. Children’s privacy
Our services may be used by students in an educational context. Where a user is a minor, we expect that a parent, guardian, or school provides appropriate consent and oversight. If you believe a child has provided us data without proper consent, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above, and significant changes will be communicated where appropriate.
